Without neglecting the teaching of the system of the language, this article emphasizes the convenience of adopting a discourse/textual approach that considers the language act, on the one hand, as an act of enunciation with due attention to the active role of the subjects of the discourse situation, and, on the other hand, as an act of textualization leading to the construction of a text. A discourse/textual approach implies assuming the characteristics of the enunciation process as building the representations of the interlocutors and the referential world, and the textual regularities, as an activity of text construction, according to the different situations of communication.
