Abstract

In Spain, the water market was introduced with Law 46/1999, after an intense drought. However, its legal regime was so restrictive that it was necessary to carry out legal reforms so that it could be applied. This paper studies the legal regime of the Spanish water market and its different regulatory reforms, as well as the jurisprudential pronouncements relapsed, both by the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court.
