Journal of Construction is an international scientific publication, created on 2002 and edited by the Escuela de Construcci&oacute;n Civil of Pontificia Universidad Cat&oacute;lica de Chile, Santiago, Chile. The RDLC is indexed in the Journal Citation Report of Web of Science since 2007. It is also indexed by several world databases, such as and Scopus, SciELO, LATINDEX and DOAJ. It publishes original and peer reviewed on: Civil works/Building, Sustainability, Management, Structures, Construction Sciences, Materials, Engineering, Technology. Is aimed at professionals, constructors, academics, researchers, companies, architects, engineers, and anyone who wishes to expand and update their knowledge about construction. RDCL publishes three issues per year (April, August and December).</div> <div>The publications are free of publication charges.</div> en-US Outstanding Paper Award: Outstanding Paper Award 2021 https://revistadisena.uc.cl/index.php/RDLC/announcement/view/408 <p>The <em><strong>eligibility criteria</strong></em> of papers selected by the Editorial Board considered some aspects such us: papers which provide a significant contribution in the state-of-the-art or understanding in a particular field, originality, clarity and accuracy in writing, and overall impact (amount of citations/date of publication).&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Nomination and selection procedures</strong></p> <p>The eligible papers could be from one of the following: (i) Volume 20, Issue 1, 2021; (ii) Volume 20, Issue 2, 2021; or (iii) Volume 20, Issue 3, 2021. Considering that the age or time since publication influences citation accrual—since older papers typically tend to gather more citations—a normalization score has been calculated based on the release date of each issue (i.e., 1, 2, or 3) within Volume 20 in 2021.</p> <p>The preselected papers are:</p> <ul> <li class="show"> <p>Jenifer, J.
