Abstract
In this article we present two exceptional projects that tell about design’s capacity for social transformation, Safe Niños and Fresh Eyes Cuba, both inextricably related to the philosophy of Designmatters —the department at ArtCenter College of Design dedicated to the education and development of design projects on social innovation— and of the figure of its co-founder and vice president, Mariana Amatullo.
